About the Work

Jenna Sedlack is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is characterized by its deep exploration of memory and the conflicting intricacies of perception.

Jenna continuously brings the feasibility of physical engagement into question by exploring the play between the complexities of fabricated spaces.

Her most recent paintings render a glimpse at internal abstract concepts and segments of memory from her brain's 'disk drive'. Providing both contrast and cohesion, the interplay between discernible elements and the abstract leads to often melancholiac interactions. Subtle shifts in tonality provide ghostly or dreamlike interactions.

Sedlack holds a BFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jenna’s work can be found in the pages of magazines such as Divide; Studio Visit, Chill Mag and The Purposeful Mayo; she was featured in the Next Generation issue of Expose Intl. Art Magazine and on the cover of a Split Lip issue.
